Sharpen the Saw - #006 - When was the last time you've done something for the first time?

Nov 08, 2019

It is Friday again and if you haven't taken the time to join us on Wednesday evening for a moment of reflection upon some of the things you habitually do, perhaps your Friday isn't so much different than last Friday and the Friday before it, and the Friday before that...

The truth is we live our lives unconsciously on autopilot doing the same things we've always gotten and experiencing the same results as we've always experienced unless we take the time to stop and reflect upon our actions and from where have we gotten them.

Where have I learned from that exercising is important for a slim body? Where have I learned from that fats are bad for my health and I should eat skimmed milk and skimmed yogurt?

Who's opinion is this that to coach someone in an executive position in an automotive company I need to have years of experience in the automotive field? It is certainly not mine. But is the popular opinion about coaching and want it or not, it affects my result if I adopt this thinking.

Where have we learned to require us to have the resources before we make a decision to invest in anything?

The answer to all these questions is from someone else. This is popular thinking that if it isn't identified and called out for what it is, we run our lives by and we call it fate.

So, tune in for a few examples of mass consciousness that we accept as being the truth and what are some things you could do every day to challenge popular thinking.
