The First Rule of Communication is Listening

Very rarely I meet people that are great at listening. We all want to tell our story and that’s understandable. But every time you speak you’re only repeating what you already know and you’re not learning anything new. By staying quiet and listening you might learn something new. Resist the urge to speak and be genuinely interested in the other person. Show them they are important to you.
